This morning around 6:00 am, another strange event happened involving the power and a light. My husband was leaving for work, and he came to kiss me goodbye as I was still lying in bed. When he walked around the end of the bed making his way toward the door, my bedside lamp came on.
I looked around the room, but my daughter was still asleep beside me, and the cats were not in sight. The lamp does have a remote that they could have possibly stepped on, but again, I did not see them anywhere near it. I used the switch on the lamp to turn it off, and when my husband heard it click, he came back into the bedroom to see what had happened and why I had turned the light on/off.
If the lamp switch was set to on and the power flashed, then the light would have come on when the power came back on (it has done this in the past). However, he said he did not notice the kitchen lights fail as though the power had flashed, so again, I am at a loss.
Yet another coincidence?
